(This functionality is available with the Computations module)
If Create/Point has been selected from the Computations task, then selecting the Method menu will provide the following creation methods. The selected method will stay current until another method is selected.
If the function allows a move an existing point may be be selected as the
point identifier.
In these cases, if an existing point identifier is selected when creating a
point, a small dialog will appear which offers several options.
For project with unique identifiers, the options available are:
- Find Next Available Id - this selects the next available point identifier available in this project.
- Move Point - this will move the existing point to its new location.
- Cancel - cancels the operation, enabling you to modify the point identifier if required.
For project with non-unique identifiers, the options available are:
- Find Next Available Id - this selects the next available point identifier available in this project.
- Create Point with Duplicate Id - this will create a new point with the same identifier.
- Cancel - cancels the operation, enabling you to modify the point identifier if required.
