Save AsSave As

Saves an existing data base and displays as another name.

The File/Save As command is selected from the Utilities task and is only active when a data base is open.

Item Used to
Save in Select the folder in which the copy of the open database is to be saved.
File name Key in the name of the database copy to be created or to display a database name selected from the list of displayed files that is to be overwritten.
Save as type LISCAD files are always created with a SEE extension.
Save Save a copy of the open database and close the dialog box.
The OK button is only active after a database has been selected.
Cancel Close the dialog box without saving the database.

Note: If you use the 'Save As' command to save a file to another name, and 'Auto Backup' is active, you are prompted as to whether you want to also save the changes to the currently open project. This is the same prompt as for simply closing a project when 'Auto Backup' is active. If you use 'Save As' to save the file to a file of the same name, the system will automatically save the changes to the backup file.
