so that you can view your maps, plans, bitmaps and orthophotos as a backdrop to your vector data.
Supports many image file formats including Windows Bitmap (*.bmp), JPEG (*.jpg), TIFF (*.tif),
Portable Network Graphics (*.png) and GIF (*.gif).
Background Images now provides support for
MrSID®,
ECW
and GeoTIFF images. These images, along with their
georeferenced information can be directly imported
into LISCAD.
No software limitation to the size or number of images used. Display as many background images
at any one time as you care to work with.
The powerful and simple registration procedure involves control pixels in the raster image assigned
coordinates that accord with the geodetic map projection. This process results in a
georeferenced image.
Transform the images utilising one of the four image transformation
types available including
Conformal, Affine, 2nd and 3rd Order Polynomial.
The Display Features command quickly allows you to control which images are displayed and the
order the images are displayed in.
In conjunction with the Computations module, background images can
be used to digitize on screen or for checking existing coordinates in the database against
the raster image.
